The Floor Store | LVT/SPC Flooring Stoke-on-Trent

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and Stone Polymer Composite (SPC) are effectively the same product. Both have vinyl top layers, the only difference is the core. LVT is pure vinyl and SPC has a limestone component.

LVT Click is the most common DIY product (glue down is also available but requires a bit more expertise in the fitting). It is suitable for all rooms that do not have direct sunlight (ie from patio doors or bifolds). It is the most waterproof of all “floating” products however you sacrifice some of the durability for this benefit. Vinyl is a naturally softer product so is more susceptible to scratches and dents than laminate. This is why we recommend it mainly for bathrooms as it is a low traffic room where usually you are “shoes off”. It is very important to note that LVT click warps in direct temperatures above 27oC sop should never be placed in front of any full length glass doors or windows.
